How to Create Customer Stories that Boost Lead Generation
The majority of our partners tell us that the demonstration of previous use cases from similar industries helped them win clients. Around 65% of our website and social media visitors also convert into leads as a result of reviewing real life use cases with HYPERVSN; this goes to show the importance of regular use case production, and how powerful they are for lead generation.
In this article, we will summarise our tips on producing high-quality use case materials that we can all benefit from. We’ve divided our tips into the following lists of action items: Before, During and After the installation.
BEFORE
- Share your installation plans with Communications & Events Manager and your Regional Manager.
We will make sure to plan the content distribution via our channels and consult you about the installation, content, filming and overall case production tips based on our and the other partners’ experience. - Review the installation requirements and content guidelines.
Reach out to your Regional Manager and Support Team, should you have any questions. - Think of the data you can collect.
Case studies with data have always been the most effective method in winning potential clients. Reach out to Communications & Events Manager to learn more on how to set the data collection up. - Create a shooting schedule for your cameraman.
Get them familiar with our Filming & Photography Guidelines and the required filming script. Double check their equipment is in accordance with our recommendations, and make it clear that if the guidelines are disregarded and the video turns out as bad as in this example you will not be able to use their footage. - Adjust the RPM on the devices before filming, so that there is no need to adjust the shutter speed on the camera.
- Plan to create a set of assets for every customer project. Use this checklist:
- Videos and images – as per the filming script
- Customer testimonial – video and/or text format
- Success metrics – increase in dwell time, foot traffic, sales, people’s reactions, etc.
- Logo of the brand – .ai or .eps
Tip 1: Asset production is quite a task – have a dedicated team member manage the process to make sure you do not miss anything. They could arrange the required equipment for filming and data collection, set up the date and times of interviews with the client representatives, follow up with the client should they fail to complete the questionnaire on time, etc.
Tip 2: A lot of customers look out for testimonials before making their purchase. Please make sure you focus on collecting them: publishing the quotes of happy local brand clients might bring in more leads for you than solely the international ones copied from the HYPERVSN website.
DURING
- Do tests onsite to make sure the cameraman films the devices correctly, and that sound is being recorded well during the interviews. Make sure to get plenty of pictures and videos taken.
- Keep a record of all the assets generated during the event.
- Distribute your content. If the installation lasts for more than two days, make social media posts and distribute the event information via the newsletter with pictures and videos inviting more people to come and visit.
AFTER
- Fill in the questionnaire.
The questionnaire is important for two reasons: it’s a way for the HYPERVSN Marketing team to get the relevant information for the copy without having to follow up with you and the client multiple times, and also, to get a release note to protect both us and our Authorised Partners from copyright related issues. - Share the created assets with HYPERVSN.
We will edit the images, add the copyright accordingly and prepare the final videos ourselves. - Plan your content marketing. The majority of your target audience are out there, beyond the installation, therefore you should actively:
- Distribute the files via website, both corporate and personal social media pages.
- Include them into social media advertisements.
- Submit them for industry awards – more on that here.
- Include them into client and media pitch decks.
- Showcase them at further events to support company and product presentations.
- Share your experiences with the other partners on the LinkedIn Partner Community. We are happy to help you draft the post!
